New Partners Include One Caribbean Media Limited and Worcester Mag
MADISON, WI – August 24, 2010 - Broadcast Interactive Media announced the further expansion of the BIM platform via two new partnerships:
One Caribbean Media Limited (OCM), the largest and most diversified media organization in the Caribbean, and
Worcester Mag, the leading alternative weekly newspaper in Central Massachusetts.
OCM operates newspapers, radio and television stations, as well as Internet and new media websites in several Caribbean territories including Barbados, Grenada, St. Lucia and Trinidad and Tobago. In early July, OCM partnered with BIM to re-launch websites for the
Trinidad Express Newspaper, the
Grenada Broadcasting Network (“Klassic Radio”), and advertising media hub
ReachCaribbean Limited.
Caribbean Communications Network (CCN) CEO Dawn Thomas noted, “Broadcast Interactive stepped in very quickly to assist with several sites when our former provider shut down unexpectedly. We have been very pleased with the efficiency of the BIM team and look forward to collaborating on other website initiatives over the next few months.”
Also joining BIM’s newspaper client roster is alternative weekly Worcester Mag. The publication -- tag line “Not your everyday newspaper” -- was founded in 1976 and currently boasts a readership of more than 87,000 across two counties. WorcesterMag.com, which launched with BIM in mid June, includes “LocalFocal” – a custom label version of BIM’s Social Media Platform where members of the community submit videos or photos of local news, arts, dining and nightlife.
Worcester Mag Online Editor, Brittany Durgin said, “The experience I had working with BIM was wonderful. The Integrations team was patient, flexible as well as top-notch organized. We’re all very pleased with the new website and are looking ahead to continued enhancements.”
