The BIMVid solution includes a robust, web-based video editor that is easy to learn and use, yet offers many advanced editing features for experienced video editors and publishers.

BIMVid records and stores your on-air broadcast 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Video can also be uploaded directly to the editing system for the publishing of web-only content.

Up to 14 days of recorded video is stored in an easy to use file system. Raw video can be accessed for editing by selecting the day the video is captured or uploaded. Video files are further separated by hour for quick access. Video is available for editing just moments after broadcast.

The BIMVid video editor is a JAVA based application that can be used with most modern browsers. It is comprised of a Play window, a Record window, and a timeline for advanced editing options. The modules within the editor can be moved and adjusted to suite an individual editor’s preference.

To begin publishing a video, an editor can simply double-click or drag a video to the play window. Both the play and record windows feature full zoom to frame capability, scrubbing, and manual click-to-select or time code selection for marking the beginning and end of selected clips. Selecting a video thumbnail is as easy as placing a cursor on the desired frame, and submitting the video clip for processing.

The timeline bar allows for further refinements and advanced editing features, including cutting and splicing of video, applying transitions, inserting still images, and adding subtitles and overlays to name a few.

Once a video is submitted for processing, the video is converted to Flash and is represented by an asset key. This single asset key is used to reference not only the Flash video, but multiple versions of the same file, including associated thumbnail and story images, and mpeg4 for video podcasting.

The BIMVid player offers the features you’ve come to expect, such as video scrubbing and full-screen toggle, along with easy access to embed tags allowing users to share video and 16x9 support. It can be configured to match the color schemes and layout of your website, and is fully integrated with DART and other ad-serving platforms allowing for pre-roll and overlay ad insertion.
